PERMANENT FULL-TIME NEUROPHYSIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST

As a world leader in neural and sensory science, Toronto Western Hospital is constantly pushing the boundaries of research, offering pioneering treatments and using state-of-the-art technology.   The Hospital’s Krembil Neuroscience Program has an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a qualified Neurophysiology Technologist to perform Electroencephalogram/Evoked Potentials EMG and Nerve Conduction Studies (EEG, EP & EMG) and other special electro diagnostic procedures in an out/inpatient environment. The successful candidate should be team player and will also participate in teaching, training and other educational activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Registration with the Canadian Board of Registered EEG Technologist (CBRET) or American Board of Registered EEG Technologist  (ABRET)

·         Membership with the Canadian Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologist (CAET) or the American Society of Electrodiagnostic Technologist (ASET)

·         Three to Five (3 - 5) years of practical and related experience is preferable

·         Ambulatory and Long Term EEG monitoring experience

·         Epilepsy monitoring unit experience an asset

·         Basic to Good knowledge of Computer skills

·         Evoked Potentials (Visual, Auditory and Somatosensory) OR

·         EMG and Nerve Conduction Studies experience an asset.

·         Recent registered EEG technologist or trainee technologist may also apply
